    This looks like a lovely house, David. According to Google maps, this house is on a laneway off Galt Avenue, at the north end of Galt Avenue behind Gerrard Square mall and immediately bordering the railway line used by GO transit. You wrote a post last year about living on railway lines and the constant noise. (More recently, some homeowners in Etobicoke had to deal with the nuisance of garbage piling up on the railway line bordering their property, and the railway refusing to clean it up – or allowing anyone to enter onto the railway’s property to clean it up!) Within a few years, this railway line in the east end will be used more frequently if and when the line is electrified for John Tory’s SmartTrack service. That will be great for commuters in Leslieville and elsewhere in the east end, but not so good for anyone owning a home bordering the railway line.

    Nice house. The taxes must be based on the last sale price which must’ve been a lot less than 828K, right?
