The real estate market is quite slow in December.
So, rather than sit around in Toronto and twiddle my thumbs, I have decided to take a trip to one of those places that most people only dream of going…
….the former Yugoslavia….

The reaction I got from most people was the same.
I would say, “I’m going away for the month of December,” and people would ask me, “Oh really, where?”
“Yugoslavia.”
“WHY?”
That’s why. The question “why” itself is exactly the answer.
Or, how about “Why not?”
Everybody wants to go to Cancun for an all-inclusive vacation and sit on a beach drinking Corona’s. Or how about a short jaunt to New York City to go shopping for a weekend?
Nope. Not for my money.
I want to go somewhere completely random, out of the way, where nobody I talk to on a regular basis has been, or is going to.
That’s how I decided to fly into Belgrade, Serbia.
There isn’t much in the way of Toronto real estate to write about in the next couple weeks, or even until the New Year.
So instead, I’ll jump on this blog and regale everybody with stories from my scenic travels in what has been called “The armpit of Eastern Europe.”
Cue spontaneous adventures…..starting……NOW!
