In last week’s edition of Pick5, we looked at freehold properties that were listed for and available for under $1,000,000.

That’s a price point that we haven’t seen in a while – freeholder under $1M, and I mean of fair quality, in a decent area, and within the central core.

Sticking with a similar theme, I figured we would look at another tough price point in Toronto, historically-speaking, but one which we now find available: 2-bed, 2-bath condos under $700,000.

And as I’ll explain in the video, I’m not just talking about any 2-bed, 2-bath condo under $700,000, but rather good buildings, in great areas, and units that you’d want to live in.

Earlier this year when the market was better, or last year when the market was ripping, you could still find a 2-bed, 2-bath for under $700,000.  But it would be in an area you wouldn’t want to live in, or it would be a micro-condo with an awful floor plan and sky-high price-per-square-foot, or the “second bedroom” was more like a den, and the “second bathroom” was just a powder-room.

In today’s Pick5, I’ll show you one 2-bed, 2-bath condo that’s available in my old building at King’s Court, as well as another in the heart of King West.

There’s quality out there in this market segment right now, and it’s a welcome sight.
