A Tour Of Heritage Homes!

October 12, 2023

Do you like things that are old?  Well, I guess it all depends.

Old cheddar cheese is a delicacy and old cars can be a luxury, but old socks probably have holes in them, and your old Blackberry likely doesn’t have much use.

But how about old houses?

Or, if we want to find a more flattering synonym for the word “old,” then how about heritage houses?

The oldest residential houses in Toronto date back to the 1850’s and 1860’s, but as you’re probably aware, there are thousands of Victorian-era homes built from the 1850’s right through to the early 1900’s.

In today’s Pick5, I want to take you on a tour of heritage homes!

We’ll look at houses built between 1860 and 1889, and while all the houses maintain their classic, vintage, Victorian style on the exterior, many of them look nothing like an older home on the inside.

In this tour of homes, there’s something for everyone.
