When you picture a three-bedroom condo in your mind, what do you see?
Are you seeing a stately, spacious, spread-out dwelling with separate living and dining rooms, a kitchen with an eat-in area, three large bedrooms with bathrooms, and maybe a family room and den?
Or are you seeing a borderline unlivable, cramped space that is more suited to an apartment-style dorm room?
While both of these exist in the city of Toronto, an overwhelming majority of newer three-bedroom condos are the latter.
The City of Toronto mandates that at least ten percent of new condominiums must be three-bedroom units, but that doesn’t mean they have to be spacious! As a result, we’re seeing a lot of awkward layouts and spaces that nobody actually wants, save for investors looking to rent to students.
In today’s Pick5 video, I’ll show you five of these units and in addition to looking at location and price, we’ll pay very specific attention to the floor plans to see if these are livable or not.
