If you owned a $1,000,000 house and then purchased a $50,000 light fixture and installed it in your living room, would your home then be worth $1,050,000?
Don’t worry; you don’t actually have to give this any thought, but rather I’m trying to introduce a point.
There are some houses in the city of Toronto that are over-renovated for what they are. Whether it’s the location of the home, the size, the layout, or the style, it is possible to over-renovate a house and not be able to get your money out of it.
In today’s Pick5, I want to show you five houses that are absolutely stunning! Renovated or built completely from the ground up, beautifully designed, and an absolute pleasure to view.
But are they going to sell? And for what price?
More to the point: why are some of these not selling? Why have some been listed multiple times now?
Some neighbourhoods or streets in Toronto just might not be able to support a certain value, and one or more of these homes might be a tough sell.
Let’s have a look and try to understand why.
