A million dollars isn’t what it used to be, right?

I grew up watching re-runs of the 1960’s “Batman” TV show (in the 1980’s, not the 1960’s….) where they always called out “Millionaire, Bruce Wayne” as though a person with a million dollars was rare.

That was then, this is now.

And today, a million dollars doesn’t buy you a whole lot in the central core of Toronto, does it?

Ignoring condominiums for a moment, what does a million dollars buy you?  If you wanted a freehold property, at least with two bedrooms, and not in the suburbs, what might you expect to get?

In today’s Pick5, I’m going to show you five properties, priced from $888,000 to $999,000, all of which do not have offer dates and are not priced for competition, and all of which are freehold in the 416.

Some of you may be impressed by what you see, and others may be turned off.  It’s all relative and it all depends on where you live now.
