Freeholds vs. Condos: ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN! | Pick 5 Edition

May 23, 2024

Hey everyone, today, I’m diving into a topic that sparks a lot of debate: freeholds vs. condos. Having lived in both, I wanted to share some insights to help you decide which might be right for you.

Convenience of Condos
Condos are all about convenience. You’ve got amenities like gyms and pools just an elevator ride away. One thing I particularly miss is the garbage chute – so easy and efficient!

Freedom of Freeholds
Freehold homes, on the other hand, offer more freedom. You get your own outdoor space, a lawn, and perhaps even a basement. No shared walls, no waiting for elevators, and it’s your property to personalize as you wish. Of course, with this freedom comes responsibility – all the maintenance is on you.

Market Considerations
Houses and condos often behave differently in the market. While both can be great investments, their values can fluctuate independently based on various factors.

Featured Properties
In my latest video, I walk you through some fantastic listings. From a chic one-bedroom condo townhouse at 150 Broadview Ave to a charming one-bedroom house at 1125 Craven Rd, there’s something for everyone. I also highlight investment opportunities like the property on 7 Bryant Ave, which includes a basement apartment for rental income.

Choosing between a condo and a freehold home depends on your lifestyle and priorities. If you value convenience and low maintenance, a condo might be your best bet. If you crave space, privacy, and the freedom to make your property your own, a freehold home could be the way to go.

As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or for advice on your real estate journey.

Thanks for watching, and see you next week!
