If you were looking for your very first downtown condo, what would be the most important criteria in your search?

Well, price, I’m sure.  That goes without saying.  But are you the type to want the largest space you could find in your budget, regardless of where it is?  Or do you value a neighbourhood above all else?

I’m sure there’s a happy medium.  I’d be willing to bet that today’s first-time buyers are open to several locations, so long as they can find a space they like with features they covet, all within their price range.

In today’s Pick5, I want to look at five entry-level condos in five different neighbourhoods throughout the downtown core.  We’ll spend our usual amount of time looking at the condos themselves, but I really want to focus on the exact location of each building and what amenities are around there.

Choosing where to live in the downtown core is almost as important these days as how much to spend.

And for those younger buyers out there, I can personally attest to the fact that where you spend your 20’s and 30’s really does help shape your life moving forward.
