What reasons could there be for a property to sit on the market, week after week, unsold?

Obviously price comes to mind, first and foremost.

But what else?

In today’s episode of Pick5, I want to take you on a tour of five houses in the midtown area, all of which are sitting on the market.  Some have been sitting for weeks and some have been sitting for months.

All of these were likely over-priced to begin with, but we’ll look at other reasons as well, such as poor listing strategies, poor layouts or designs, out-of-date or over-personalized interiors, unfortunate locations, undesirable buildings in close proximity, and competition from other properties in the surrounding area, among many other reasons.

This Pick5 won’t be full of sexy photos but it will be educational, to say the least.

Oh, and there will be cake, just so you know.
