There are a lot of over-used buzz words in marketing, aren’t there?

How many food items are described as “artisan” these days?  Hasn’t the term lost all meaning?

We see this a lot in the world of real estate as well.  I mean, if I heard the word “sophisticated,” I’d expect to see a stately, well-educated gentleman wearing a suede jacket with patches on the elbows, quietly reading Tolstoy in the corner of a room, warming his feet by the fire.  I would not, however, expect to see a run-of-the-mill semi-detached house on the east side, and yet we see words like this used all the time to describe ordinary houses and condos.

Exquisite, Tranquil, Modern, Custom, Contemporary, Stunning, Timeless, Warm, and Prestigious are just a few more off the top of my head.

But what about “sleek?”

What does that mean?

In today’s Pick5, I want to show you five houses that I would describe as “sleek.”  Whatever the actual meaning of the word, it need not matter.  Through my real estate eyes, these three awesome, gorgeous houses are sleek, and I’m pretty sure you’ll agree.
