Driving To Jackson Hole…

I suppose if you absolutely had to, you could pick your favourite city in the entire world.

But how about your favourite place?  I mean your very favourite spot?

Here’s a video I shot from my favourite spot in the world…

Sometimes when I walk through Jackson, Wyoming, I wish that we had a house there instead of Driggs.

But after a few hours and a few thousand people, I realize that we’ve got it made in Idaho.

Jackson Hole is a beautiful little town and it’s definitely poppin’!

There’s always action, there’s always people, and it’s never slow.

It’s more built up and there is far, far more to see and do.

But it’s way too touristy.  And If you ever want to slow down, you’re in the wrong town to do it.

That’s why I prefer to be in Idaho – exactly between Victor and Driggs, which probably have a combined population of less than 4,000 people.  I can drive to Jackson Hole in under a half hour, and when I’ve had enough of the hustle and bustle, I can mosey on back to Idaho and sit on my front porch and watch the clouds roll over the mountains as the sun goes down.

I can take in a few hours of all that Jackson Hole has to offer, and when I get tired of it, I just head back over yonder…

But there’s something to be said for that spot at the top of the valley overlooking Jackson!  It’s the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen in my life, and I’ve been a few places!

Just super glad that you weren’t filming as you were driving.

Jackson – been there, done that. Skied back in 2002 and it was just ‘alright.’ But the town itself is amazing, I do have to agree with that. I’ve never seen it in the summer though.

    @ Craig

    Awesome link!

A friend of mine told me about this “double rainbow” video but I never followed up and actually investigated…..that was a MISTAKE!

This is quite possibly the best bit of cinema since “On The Waterfront” with Marlon Brando. But even Brando couldn’t project such authentic sorrow while viewing this double rainbow…
