The Friday Video Rant: “IT” as in “IT Lofts”

Condos

< 1 minute read

May 18, 2012

Let me talk about it.  Let me rant about it.

And in the end, let me me know how it makes you feel…

Am I wrong?

Tell me if I’m wrong.  Please.

One of my colleagues said, “Dave, you’re being silly.  ‘It’ refers to ‘Little Italy.’  I think it’s cheeky!”

I think it’s lame, simple, and moronic.

It?

What’s next?  A?

A-Lofts?

B-Lofts?

La-Lofts?  La-La-La-LOFTS!

It’s just mindless drivel for people that will buy absolutely anything, and therefore don’t need to be drawn in by something like “The Residences of College Park.”

I’m telling you – developers aren’t trying anymore.

They’ve jacked up prices so that there’s no longer a discount on pre-construction, and the prices are level (or higher!) than existing resale.

They build an inferior product and continuously demonstrate how lax the building regulations in Ontario are.

And now they don’t even need to market their projects properly.  I’m convinced they could call the condo “Name To Be Determined” and there’s a legion of people out there who would think that’s cool.

It sucks.

And it isn’t going to change until people stop buying…

“It”, the word, is a pronoun, not a preposition. Just sayin’.

      @ Jeremy

I should have done my research.

Actually, I should have done more than one take of this video…. 🙁

Back in the day, people ordered “Gin & It” where It meant Italian, meaning Italian vermouth.

I think “To be Determined” is a lame name for a condo, but I bet “Working Title” would garner a lot of interest.

Off topic, but I just sold today! Conditional, FSBO, full price & short closing, in the far-ish 905. It’s been a fun week.

The building isn’t even in Little Italy; IT is in Dufferin Grove.

You know, I really dont care what a building is called as long as the price, location and finishings are right.
