Welcome to Paradise!

This is paradise as I see it, and I hope you do too.  I got a bit carried away – sorry for the s-bomb, but it’s times and places like this that I feel as if part of the world is asleep at the wheel…

I’ve been to a lot of places, and as I mentioned in the video, I’ve never been impressed by things like the the Eiffel Tower or other man made “Wonders.”

But something natural – like a glacier, a canyon, or maybe even a double-rainbow worthy of YouTube fame – that’s the ticket for me.

Arches National Park is one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever been, and if I had it to do over, I’d spend a whole week there.

For some odd reason (as I keep telling my father), I didn’t appreciate the beauty when I was NINE YEARS OLD, but now I do.  I think back in the 80’s, I was more interested in Tetris than seeing an arch…

But it’s never too late to retrace your steps, and the last few days have been nothing short of a dream.

PS – I was joking about the double rainbow, if it wasn’t obvious after watching that insane video…

What about the Pyramids in Egypt? Their man made.

      @ Justin

Good point. I’d love to see the Pyramids, as well as Stone Henge. Both are man-made but somewhat mysterious, and we can only imagine how they were built.

I guess I’m just not impressed by most “landmarks.” How cool is the CN Tower for those of us that live in Toronto? Meh. It’s neat, I guess, but I can’t believe that people come from all around the world just to see it!

Natural landmarks such as the Grand Canyon are far more interesting. It’s absolutely overwhelming just to sit and stare at it. The mind wanders…
