According to my day-planner (and yes, I still have an old-fashioned paper calendar…), there are still 35 days left in 2014.
So why am I suggesting it’s over?
Well in real estate terms, the year is just about finished, as the “Fall Market” draws to a close.
Not all hope is lost, if you’re a buyer, however. Persistence pays off in this market, and if you remain active, you just might find a place when many other buyers have already checked out…

Sorry for lack of a blog post on Friday, folks! Sometimes life outside of real estate gets in the way of TRB! 🙂
Today, I want to tell a story about a colleague – a competitor, actually, who did an exceptional job for her clients, and went above and beyond what is usually done.
I tell a lot of stories on this blog about agents who do poor jobs, or cut corners, usually because that’s what people want to talk about. But today, let’s turn the tables, and talk about something positive, which I wish happened more often…

About halfway through reading the following story, you’re going to stop, and say to yourself, “There’s no way this can be true.”
But if you read my blog on a regular basis, you know that anything can and will happen in the wacky world of real estate.
Put enough people in a room together, and anything can happen. And take all the participants in real estate – the buyers, sellers, agents, mortgage brokers, inspectors, et al, and consider their various levels of experience, and you’re bound to have stories like this one.

Every time I see something on MLS that boggles my mind, or makes me laugh, I quickly take a screen shot, put it into a .jpg, and save it in a special file.
This Fall, I’ve noticed that I’m doing this a LOT more than I used to.

Anybody in the mood for a “Fun Friday?”
It took me a couple weeks to actually edit this together, but the idea has been on my mind throughout the fall market, and dare I say that every Realtor out there will know what I’m talking about.
As for the general public? Well, I’m sure you have your own ideas about what the good ‘ole neighbourhood Realtor looks like, but this video is from my eyes. My sarcastic, cynical, sarcastic eyes….
