I’m Coming Home!

I’ve been away for almost three weeks, but it’s not like I’ve let my blog suffer!

I can’t spend two hours on a blog post for Thursday, so instead – just enjoy these choice photos from my trip, and know that FRIDAY’s blog post will be one of the best of 2011…

I know what you’re thinking – “If he has time to upload a bunch of stupid photos from his trip that I don’t care about, then how come he doesn’t have time to write a blog post about real estate?”

Well, most blog posts take 90 minutes, and uploading a few photos from my trip takes seven minutes.

Besides – I spent four hours on Friday’s blog post, and I guarantee it’s one of the best of the year!

So here are a couple photos I’d love to share with whoever cares…

We went rafting on the Snake River in Jackson, and despite many, many warnings and instructions from our guide, this one German tourist fell in the biggest rapid on the river.

“Lunch Counter,” as the rapid is called, is a series of three giant rapids that are twice as large as the boat itself.

I have no clue what the German guy was thinking, but perhaps in search of Bratwurst and Sauerkraut, he decided to go to the bottom of the river.

See him in the front left of the boat with the Oakley shades:

Then we hit the second of the three huge rapids on Lunch Counter:

And there he goes!  See him falling out of the boat – second from the right.

And there he is in the water!  The other guy at the front was going to try and grab on to him but then he looked like he was bailing as well!  He made a judgment call, and let the German go, and he stayed in the boat.  The German wasn’t so lucky.  I think that’s the top part of his life jacket sticking out of the water.

He floated around down there for a while, and after finding the underneath of the raft, I think he eventually came to the surface.  He looked like he REALLY wanted out of the water.  Me and some dude from New Jersey pulled him by the life jacket and brought him back to safety.

He was visibly shaken, but I would be too if I was banging around on jagged rocks in fourteen-foot high waves.

Anyways, there’s a tall tale for ya!

I’m back in Toronto late on Thursday night and this 19 day journey will seem like all but a distant memory.

Please make sure to check back on Friday for one of my most ‘special’ posts in a long time!
